Day 01   :  Kathmandu-Colombo By flight.

Departure from Kathmandu (Tribhuban International Airport ) TIA to Colombo Airport.

Day 02  :  Anuradapura Sightseeing

Arrival at Anuradapura International Airport in Srilanka. Transfer from Airport to Hotel; after checking in the Hotel move to Anuradapura city tour . Anuradapura was first settled by Anuradha, a follower of Prince Vijaya the founder of the Sinhala race. Later, it was made the Capital by King Pandukabhaya about 380 B.C. According to the Mahavamsa, the epic of Sinhala History, King Pandukabhaya’s city was a model of planning. Precincts were set aside for huntsmen, for scavengers and for heretics as well as for foreigners. There were hostels and hospitals, at least one Jain chapel, and cemeteries for high and low castes. A water supply was assured by the construction of tanks, artificial reservoirs, of which the one called after himself exists to this day under the altered name Baswakkulam.

Day 03 :AnuradaPura-Habarana.

After breakfast Transfer to Habarana Village Tours. Bullock Cart (Double Ox Cart) which will transport through the next phase of the adventure. The journey continues through dense shrub forests, Paddy lands and other home to many forest birds and other wildlife including monkeys, bear, wild hare, python, Mongose, and even elephants. Sightseeing of the rural village life possible while on the cart ride.
Catamaran Safari (Double paired canoe joined together with seating facility) at the scenic lake & Wade through a shallow stream and the sense of adventure heightens when you need to get a Chena Cultivation via a somewhat wider tributary which needs to be crossed on a Catamaran!! Chance of experiencing bird watching while on the Catamaran such as Peacocks, green pigeons, cormorants, green bitters, King fishers, Eagles and many more birds and also land monitors as well as water monitors. Visit Chena Cultivation – At the Chena cultivation you will stop to enjoy the farmer’s humble hospitality. Perhaps enjoy a drink of sweet King Coconut/Aromatic ginger tea or some other seasonal fruits.

Day 04 : Habarana – Sigiriya-Dambulla- Habarana

After early breakfast the Sigiriya rock. Climb the 180-meter rock which was a royal citadel for nearly 20 years. This great exciting site is nearly one hectare in extent. The rock fortress was built by King Kashyapa who killed his father to gain his wealth. This wonderful fortress is a Masterpiece of artistry. Sigiriya has been made famous throughout the world for the frescoes on its rock wall and advanced water system. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.En route lunch.

After that visit the Dambulla caves. Visit the impressive Dambulla Rock Cave Temple en-route which sits 100m to 150m above the road. The hike up to the temples begins along a vast, sloping rock face with steps in some places. The caves’ as a place of worship is thought to date from around the 1st century BC. There are five separate caves of which the interiors are carved into magnificent rock temples containing about 150 images of the Buddha. The interiors are also gilded, earning the place the name “Ran Giri” (Golden Rock).

Day 05 : Habarana- Kandy

After breakfast transfer to Kandy
Visit the Temple of tooth relic and do the city tour. Kandy is considered the capital of Sri Lanka’s hill country and there are several interesting places and sights for tourists to visit. The city tour includes a visit to the main Kandy Market, the gem museum and other interesting places. You will also see the beautiful manmade Kandy Lake which is located close to the Temple.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha (Sri DaladaMaligawa), which houses the most important Relic of the Buddhists in Sri Lanka. A gold canopy was erected some years ago over the roof of the shrine room where it is place.En route lunch. Transfer to hotel in Kandy. In the evening view a colorful cultural performance of Kandyan Dancers. The final eisa display of fire-walking.

Day 06 : Kandy -Embakke-Kandy

After Breakfast visit Gadaladeniya / Embekke / Lankatilka. Gadaladeniaya Temple which was built by king Wickramabahu in 1344 during the Gampola Kingdom time. At the entrance you can see the Dageba( pagoda) by your right hand side. This consist of one main Dageba and four small ones. The main Dageba is covered with a roof. There are four small shrine rooms around it with small dageba located top of each. The Bo tree is located in front of the dageba and there is an old inscription located by it. You can see that is covered with a fence to prevent from damaging. Embekke Devalaya is the best place in Sri lanka, may be in the world to see the finest wood carving work. This Devalaya is dedicated to the the god Kataragama. Embekke Devalaya was built in around year 1370’s. This period is belong to Gampole regime time the king Wickramabahu was ruling Sri Lanka. According to the historical information, this temple was done by Queen Henakanda Bisobandara.

Day 07 : Kandy -Nuwara Eliya.

After Breakfast transfer to Nuwara Eliya.Nuwara Eliya – The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of mountains, valleys, waterfalls and tea plantations and is 6,200 feet above sea level. In 1826 some British Officers out on shooting, chanced on NuwaraEliya plains, and Sir Edward Barnes investigated on it. In 1828 a road was constructed over the ridge at RambodaPass and a station for convalescent soldiers was established. It was S3ir Samuel Baker who fell under the spell of Nuwara Eliya, brought hounds, horses, cattle, sheep etc. and started a typical English farm here. Flowers and vegetable were brought from England and planted. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the Island, but is really just like an England spring day although the temperature does drop at night. The Victoria Park, in the middle of the town, is a lovely place for a stroll or a picnic. Seasons may be absent elsewhere in Sri Lanka, but here you can read them by the flowers, which bloom during spring (March to May) and fall between August and September.

Day 08 : Mirissa Whale watching-Galle –Bentota

4Early morning leave for Mirissa –Dondra point. The tour starts at 6.00 A.M. The Whale trip crews are specially trained and are experts that follow safety systems and ensure the protection of guests. Dondra point of Down South in SriLanka is the main spot of Whales & Dolphin in SriLanka during December to April. There is 95% chance of Spotting Sperm Whales as their migration path is just off Dondra Point. Also there is a good chance of Spotting Spinner Dolphins also off Dondra. Don’t forget your came5ra to catch their tails flip. Also you may see the sun rise when you are at sea, which is a breathtaking experience.En route lunch.
After an exciting experience visit Galle fort.Galle is the best example of a fortified city built by Europeans in Southeast Asia, showing the interaction between European architectural styles and south Asian traditions.
UNESCO world heritage center – the Galle fort is the largest existing Dutch colonial fortress in Asia, and is home to varied religious places of worship, government and commercial Buildings. You can spend hours exploring the famous Dutch fort, Colonial type ruins and Museum. Galle is a perfect mix of Sri Lanka’s historical past combined with a busy market town and its colorful markets.

Day 09 : Bentota- Balapitiya-Colombo

After Breakfast transfer to the estuary of the Madu River is a complex coastal ecosystem of mangroves and islands. It may be one of the last remaining tracts of pristine mangrove forests in Sri Lanka.
A boat trip is a wonderful way of seeing some of the hundreds of species of plants and animals – monkeys eat fruit in the trees, a water monitor lizard glides slowly through the water, and cormorants, egrets and kingfishers wait patiently on the banks, eyeing the water for prey.

After that transfer to visit Kosgoda turtle hatchery. Kosgoda is famous for its turtle hatchery- Visitors can see huge tanks filled with new born turtle hatchlings. After being fed, the baby turtles are taken to the sea and released when they are 2-4 days old, usually during the safer hours of darkness. Although October to April is the main laying season, some eggs can be found at Kosgoda throughout the Year.
After that transfer to Colombo.
En route lunch.
A drive through the city will take you to Fort and Pettah – the commercial area of t9he city and tree-lined Colombo 7 – Cinnamon Gardens. Colombo 3, 4, 5 & 8 are the prime residential areas of the City. The Hindu Temple at Sea Street – lined with goldsmith shops, the Dutch Church at Wolfendhal dating back to 1749, the historic Devatagaha Mosque, Independence Square, BMICH, Gangaramaya Temple and Colombo Museum are some of the attractions in Colombo. Colombo largest shopping malls- Majestic city Colombo 04, ODEL,
Liberty plaza, and etc…

Day 10 : Colombo – Airport.

After breakfast transfer from Colombo to Airport for departure flight.

Tickets obtained to visit archaeological sites will not be refunded if you cancel the tour last minute or whilst on tour, due to any reason. (No refund for un-utilized tickets).
