Day 01: Kathmandu to Paro: (406 Kilometers): Bhutan is a most popular tourist destination and it’s easy to access Bhutan from Kathmandu. So, Kathmandu to Paro (Bhutan) Flight is a very popular flight. It is a short flight of only 1 hour 20 minutes and only Druk Air is operating a direct flight from Kathmandu to Paro and return. You can also access Paro by Thai Airways via Bangkok and from India too. Three-star standard hotel.

Day 2 – After you arrive at Paro international airport, you will be received by our representative from our Bhutan Travels.

The flight into Paro on Druk Air/Bhutan airlines (only international flight) is a befitting introduction to the spectacular beauty of Bhutan. If the weather is clear you can see magnificent views of the peaks, give way to the lush green Paro valley as you land on arrival at Paro international airport.

From Paro, we drive to Thimphu, where you will check in to your Hotel.

After Lunch, we will visit Kuenselphodrang, popularly known as the “Buddha Point” where a statue of the Buddha measuring 54 meters tall sits above the Thimphu valley. Visit the Memorial Chorten(temple) which was built in 1974 in memory of the Late Third King of Bhutan.  On any given day, you shall find people circumambulating this temple in order to gain merits for all sentient beings. Later in the evening, we will be visiting TashichhoeDzong the “Fortress of Auspicious Religion” where today like most of the other fortresses in Bhutan serves as the Administrative and Religious Center.

Day 3–After breakfast, we drive out of Thimphu to Dochula Pass.At Dochulapass, where 108 stupas were built as a war monument after the 2003 war in southern Bhutan against Indian insurgents and on a clear day you will also see Himalayan mountain ranges.Then we will drive back to Thimphu for lunch. A short drive from Dochula pass, we will visit Royal Botanical Garden where you can get to see different flora. Later after lunch, we will visit the National Institute of ZorigChusum: is the centre for Bhutanese Art education. It was set up by the Government of Bhutan with the sole objective of preserving the rich culture and tradition of Bhutan and training students in all the traditional art forms. The curricula cover a comprehensive course of drawing, painting, wood and slate carving, embroidery, sculptures, weaving and papermaking. Later in the evening, we will head back to Paro. If time permits then we will visit ParoRinpungDzong.

Day 4-After an early breakfast, we drive towards the base of the Tiger’s Nest Monastery for a hike. Taktsang is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in the Himalayan World. The temple itself is perched on a granite cliff that drops 2,000 feet to the valley floor. The name is derived from a legend that Guru Rinpoche flew across the mountains to this spot on the back of a tigress.

After the hike, we will then visit Kychu Monastery which was built by one of the Tibetan kings in the 7th century. This monastery is considered as one of the oldest monasteries we have in the country. If time permits then we will visit Paro National Museum. It was established in 1968, in the renovated ancient Ta-dzong building under the command of His Majesty, the king JigmeDorjiWangchuk. It houses for some of the finest specimens of Bhutanese art, including masterpieces of bronze statues and painting. Suitable galleries were constructed to house the extensive collections. The works of art are elegantly displayed on scientific lines.

The evening we will stroll around Paro town for leisure.

Later in the evening, we will arrange a Cultural Show. You will be witnessing our traditional folk dances and also mask dances which are usually performed during the famous festival called Tshechu here in Bhutan. We can arrange a cultural show for their clients to take back home not only the memories of the natural beauty of the kingdom of Bhutan but also some memories of our unique culture (songs and Dances) and traditions which you may cherish throughout your life.

 Day 5- Departure Day – After breakfast, your driver and guide will drive you to the airport for your outbound journey.

Tour cancellation & refund policy

Tour Programs booked and subsequently cancelled shall be subject to cancellation charges as follows:

  • 45 days or more prior to arrival date in Bhutan– no charges.
  • 45-30 days prior to arrival date in Bhutan – 20% of the rate.
  • 22– 29 days prior to arrival date in Bhutan – 30% of the rate.
  • 15-21 days prior to arrival date in Bhutan – 50% of the rate.
  • Less than 15 days prior to arrival date in Bhutan – No Refund.
  • An Administration fee of USD75 will be applicable for all cancelled tours.
     

    In the event of cancelled or shortened trips due to unforeseen reasons after arrival in Bhutan, no refund will be made due to the company already has paid for hotels and other logistics.

    No refund will be made for missed connections or no-show at the airports.
